Paul experienced what we should all want to experience: God speaking directly to us. God teaching us. The Word of God within us. Individually, we will reach a point when we need a word not found in the scripture. Jesus himself said that He want to tell his disciples things but they were not ready. Likewise in this current phase us Christianity, many are not ready to hear the words "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Is this in any of the non-canonical gospels )ie, Gospel of Thomas, etc)?
