Here is the Wikipedia definition for transhumanism:

“Transhumanism (sometimes abbreviated >H or H+) is an international intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of new sciences and technologies to enhance human cognitive and physical abilities and ameliorate what it regards as undesirable and unnecessary aspects of the human condition, such as disease and aging. Transhumanist thinkers study the possibilities and consequences of developing and using human enhancement techniques and other emerging technologies for these purposes. Possible dangers, as well as benefits, of powerful new technologies that might radically change the conditions of human life are also of concern to the transhumanist movement.”

At first glance, transhumanism appears to have very little to do with religion in general or Christianity in particular. Indeed, faith in a transcendent God is replaced with faith in science and technology. Salvation is replaced by life extension and intelligence enhancement. Prayer to a loving God with implanted man-computer interfaces.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a Jesuit theologian, paleontologist, and philosopher coined the term, Omega Point (OP), the end of the evolution of consciousness on earth from inanimate matter, to one-celled organisms, to man, and finally the convergence/eschatology, or what we may call, God. Unlike PTDC, I do not believe in evolution. I believe there is evidence of a Divine Hand continuously creating, renewing, and perfecting life on this planet.

The Divine Hand is guiding all mankind toward Omega Point or the radical change we will experience at the end of time when mortals embrace immortality, corruption is replaced by incorruptibility, and sin is no more.. (See Romans 8:19, 1 Corinthians 15:1-58, 1John 3:1-3). Christ in us fully — our manifestation as sons and daughters of God –is the Omega Point. But we don’t have to wait for death or the rapture for Christ to be formed in us. Salvation is a continuum which spans the gulf between the unsaved man or women who does not know God, to the man or women who walks in the Spirit and Power of Jesus. It bridges the gap between the babe in Christ and the mature or perfect man.

This is true transhumanism. Right now, today, we can walk in the Spirit. Today we can put on the New Man which was created according to God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24

And, one day soon, we shall all be like God: we shall all reflect His image. We will see Him as He is. Sickness and disease, famine and war will be no more. We will never die. God wills, I will write about how can experience this change now. It is all from God: the Holy Spirit will guide us.
